Massage for Special Needs (14 CEUs)

Instructor: Tina Wilson, BS, LMT, BCTMB

This course will provide an overview of common intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities and the adaptations necessary when providing massage therapy. The intention of this course is to provide the massage therapist with a greater comfort level in working with individuals who have limited movement, communication and cognitive abilities.

Topics will include transfer and positioning techniques, massage techniques when access to the body is limited, massaging without the massage table, and other considerations.

**Become a Special Kneads approved massage therapist by meeting additional requirements**

~This class will be held from 9 am - 5 pm and provides 14 CEU hours~

Registration is not complete until payment is received. There are no refunds on classes; however, the amount may be applied to a future class date within the same licensing year.
